Travellino is a luxury travel brand with offices in Jakarta and Doha, and access to over 3,500 resorts worldwide. But their website wasn't reflecting any of that.
Travellino's founders had built a boutique travel company on personal taste, deep hospitality experience, and bespoke service for couples and small family groups. The kind of brand where every guest detail matters. The website, though, felt dated and generic, indistinguishable from a hundred other travel sites. For a high-end brand whose customers expect refinement at every touchpoint, the website had become a quiet liability.

Main Objective

The brand was premium offline. Online, it wasn't. The job was to close that gap, and to make sure Travellino's team could maintain the site themselves once we left.

Challenge

The brief was direct. Rebuild the website to reflect Travellino's actual brand standard, and give the team a CMS so they could run it without developers.

Luxury hospitality is unforgiving of generic design. Every visual decision had to earn its place: typography, imagery, pacing, the way destinations were introduced, the way the founder story was told. The bar wasn't "modern website." It was "matches the experience Travellino delivers in person." For a brand whose customers expect refinement at every touchpoint, a website that felt off-brand wasn't a marketing inconvenience. It was a quiet contradiction.

Behind the design problem sat an operational one. Travellino's previous website had no CMS. Every update required developer involvement, which slowed down marketing and meant the site rarely reflected what was current. The new site couldn't just look right at launch. It had to keep looking right as the team published new destinations, resorts, expeditions, and seasonal campaigns themselves, without breaking the design they'd just paid for.

What we built

The site was rebuilt from the ground up to reflect Travellino's positioning as a boutique luxury travel company. Typography, photography, and pacing were chosen to feel editorial rather than commercial, the kind of website where someone planning a Bhutan trip or an African safari feels they're in the right hands.

Curated destination pages. Each destination was given space to breathe, with imagery and storytelling that introduces the place before pushing the product. Designed for the kind of traveler who reads before they book.

Luxury resort collections. Travellino's access to 3,500+ resorts is one of the brand's strongest assets, but the previous site buried it. The rebuild surfaced the collection with proper visual treatment, making the breadth of options legible without overwhelming.

Expedition by Travellino. A dedicated space for Travellino's signature expeditions, the kind of trips that define the brand's positioning beyond standard hotel bookings.

Founder story. Travellino is owner-run, and that personal foundation is part of what guests are buying. The founder narrative was given its own treatment so the brand feels like the people behind it, not a faceless agency.

Behind the design sits a custom CMS giving Travellino's team direct control over every piece of content on the site. New destinations, updated resort details, new expeditions, blog posts, and seasonal campaigns can all be published without touching code. The CMS was designed around how the team actually works, with enough structure to keep the design consistent and enough flexibility to let them move quickly. The site looks right at launch. The CMS is what makes sure it keeps looking right.

Outcome

A website that finally matches the brand. Travellino's online presence now reflects the same standard the brand delivers in person. Premium positioning, refined design, and a tone that signals the experience guests are buying into before they ever inquire.

Marketing team running independently. With the new CMS in place, the team publishes content, manages destinations, and updates the site on their own schedule. What used to require developer time now happens in-house, the same day.

Delivered on time. A straightforward project executed cleanly, end to end.

Travellino returned for additional scope. After launch, Travellino came back to extend the work.
